Charlize Theron gushes over dream Bombshell co-stars while dishing on Megyn Kelly as she appears on The Ellen Show with co-stars Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie. Theron revealed she is grateful for the chance to work with her Bombshell co-stars Robbie and Kidman on the film, which hits movie theaters in December.
The trio appeared together on The Ellen Show, and Theron spoke of how she knew the project was ‘very special.’ “It was a script that was sent to my company to possibly produce and maybe for me to work on as an actor,” she told Ellen. “Everybody at my company knew that this was an incredible gift because Charles Randolph wrote an incredibly powerful script.” Of her castmates Robbie and Kidman, Theron gushed: “The experience was like, literally, a dream come true for me.
The whole cast, it’s just an amazing group of people but we’ve been talking today, and we’ve kind of had this conversation quite a bit at how rare it is where you get to work with so many women, where you get to have an experience where you get to work with people you so admire, and to not just see them on a red carpet, but to have a working experience with them.” Theron portrays Megyn Kelly in the movie, which depicts former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes’ alleged sexual harassment. Ailes died in 2017 at 77.
However, Theron remained coy when asked by host Ellen DeGeneres if Kelly had ‘reached out’ to her about the movie. “No,” replied Charlize, Charlize then clarified: “So we used a lot of source material in telling this story. And also spoke to a lot of women who were part of this story. Some of them were still working at Fox, some of them really didn’t want their names out there. So as a team, we’ve just decided to protect our sources.” She said of her character: “Meghan is aware of the film, and I’m really hoping she will see it.”
