Magdalena Neuner’s a two-time Olympic champ in 2010, a 12-time world champ (a freakin’ record for women), a three-time winner of the world cup (in 2007/08, 2009/10, and 2011/12), and the winner of seven small world cups. She’s also a three-time world champ in summer biathlon. And get this – she’s the youngest athlete to ever win the overall world cup. She’s been named Germany’s best sportswoman of the year in 2007, 2011, and 2012.
Magdalena Neuner’s the only biathlete to ever be included among the most popular athletes in the world by the famous American channel ESPN (in 2012). And in Germany, she’s been voted one of the three most famous women in the country. In the summer of 2017, she was even inducted into the hall of fame of German sport.
